I suppose not. But it is... painful, I feel, to cause someone dear to me pain through my own destined fate.

[He has no say in it, but he still feels like he's at fault.]

[For a moment, Danny lifts his good hand to... what? He's not sure what he had been planning on doing with it, a half-aborted attempt at maybe touching the other's face, but he drops his hand drops back down awkwardly as he sighs.]

Somehow it seems we ended up on another rather depressing topic of discussion here.

Indeed. I was trying not to do that.

[The aborted attempt is enough for Grimm to reach to take Danny's hand in his. As ever, he is pleasantly warm.]
