[Continuing from here, once a time has been established to go Danny will arrive at the Cat Cafe he mentioned to Grimm and Grimmchild to meet with them there. Now, granted, Danny does have the slightest worry about the dangers of cat dander ending up in one's drinks, or god forbid, your eye, but he is willing to make an attempt today at offering something that will make Grimm and his kid happy.
And who knows maybe Danny can get talked into getting a cat so that his apartment isn't so empty--I mean.]
Do you know what you two want to drink yet?
[The question is directed at both Grimm and Grimmchild. Danny is already planning on getting coffee, but they likely have teas and juices if preferred instead.]
[Danny will pass along those orders for them, before they take a look around the cafe they are sitting in, reaching a hand up momentarily to steady Grimmchild's perch on his head as well as directly addressing them for a moment.]
Do you see any cats that you want to play with here?
[Danny is probably going to get tired of Grimmchild's weight on his head eventually but for the time being, they are light enough that he can allow this.]
So then, how have the two of you been so far today?
I've been doing better, especially in comparison to last month.
[While his movements with his left arm are still limited and kind of jerky, it does at least seem like he's no longer dealing with nearly as much pain.]
Oh, gosh... I'm not sure. They're all very cute. It's hard to really choose one to admire over another... what about you? Is there one that you see of interest?
Ah, I figured as much. Maybe we can see if we can get one to come closer to us?
[What is it like to pet a hairless cat? Danny... doesn't really know how to gesture to get a cat to come near him, but he certainly tries with wiggling his fingers a little here to see if it or any of the other cats will come over to them.]
[Well, it's not the cat he was trying to entice over, but it'll do. He lets the cat sniff his hand until it seems satisfied enough to let Danny try to pet it as gently as possible, and indeed, it's fur is pleasantly soft to the touch. After a moment, he turns his attention back to Grimm.]
[It is pretty cute, Danny can see that. For a moment, he suddenly thinks of Eddie, and Rachel, who would have probably found this cat adorable as well...]
... You know, most of the time I'm glad that some people I know are not in this world, because they are far too young to be dealing with certain things here. But at times like this, I regret that they are unable to indulge in the nicer things like this.
[The Knight and the Hollow Knight have unique issues regarding the intimacy of moonlacing - but them being here means that they can have a break from fighting and pain.
He thinks of Brumm, shy to a fault, and wishes he could hear the music of this place.]
[A thought that comes to mind is that simply appreciating it isn't enough, he should have been doing more even now in regards to Rachel in particular, but he pushes that thought back away as far as he can for now.

[Grimmchild meows their agreement and flaps down to the cat's level. They don't have hands to pet with, so they end up nuzzling the cat with their face.
The cat nuzzles back. Grimm pulls out his phone to take pictures.]
[Okay that gets an amused chuckle out of Danny here.]
